Over the weekend, Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of Green Day tweeted that the Bay Area pop-punk rock icons will play an intimate show at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, CA, Monday(8/6) night. Since the first of their triology of albums, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! starts its release in September, there’s a strong likelihood of new material to be performed. The announcement follows up the previous announcement by the band that they would play a free show, also in Los Angeles but due to capacity issues and laws, local government officials cancelled the performance. Tickets to the show go on sale Monday, Aug. 6 at 10a(PDT) with a two (2) ticket limit to be held at will-call.
