This Friday January 31st, 2014, leading independent San Francisco based made-to-order orchestra known as Magik*Magik Orchestra, are putting on a special event in celebration of their 5th birthday at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California! Sponsored by Another Planet Entertainment and Noise Pop, the show will feature the amazing musicians Magik*Magik has represented in the past 5 years, as well as raise funds for their project Magik For Kids; in which the orchestra helps provide music lessons for the children of San Francisco. The concert will feature a diverse range of music including but not limited to: The Dodos, Zoe Keating, Geographer, The Lonely Forest, and Rogue Wave. Magik*Magik Orchestra is led by founder and innovator Minna Choi, she herself has worked on over 100 musical projects to date! Including performing and recording the film score for Looper (featuring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt). She has composed for Death Cab For Cutie and performed with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds at the Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco this past year.
