The trio of Little Daylight from Brooklyn, NY, gained attention with their remixes of tracks by artists such as, Bastille, The Neighbourhood, Passion Pit, and Freelance Whales. All the while, the band drew inspiration towards creating original material and releasing the track “Overdose” in 2013. The track garnered much attention on the internet and got the band a spot to perform at SXSW and an ensuing record deal with Capitol Records. The band consisting of Nikki Taylor, Matt Lewkowicz, and Eric Zeiler honed their live performance opening for artists like Bastille and Charli XCX. The debut album by Little Daylight, “Hello Memory” was produced and written entirely by the band and features a duet with Atlas Genius frontman Keith Jeffery on the track, “No One Else But You”.
B-Sides On-Air interviewed Little Daylight during a recent visit to San Francisco. The band spoke with B-Sides On-Air host, Pete Mar, about how the duet with Jefferies came about, the recent celebrity phone-hacking, Kenny Rogers and more.
