VIDEO: Interview – Night Riots Talk Name Change, Contagious

night riotsNight Riots hail from a small town in Central California, but their sound is anything but small. Hailing from the small town of Templeton, CA just outside of San Luis Obispo, Night Riots started out as PK, having toured under the name for a few years and was noticed by Rolling Stone, who named them one of America’s top 16 unsigned bands. Due to trademark issues, the band reluctantly changed their name but things turned out for the better. The name change allowed them to build upon the existing sound they created and re-introduce themselves to the audience. They signed with Sumerian Records and released the EP “Howl” in late 2014. The track “Contagious” has been in the B-Sides Top 10 and the band is preparing for their album release later this year.

B-Sides On-Air host, Pete Mar, caught up with Night Riots during their San Francisco tour stop recently to talk about the process of the name change, life in San Luis Obispo and more!
