VIDEO: Interview – Lane 8 Talks Coachella, New York Times

LANE 8Electronic music producer and DJ Lane 8 has built a fast-growing fanbase in Europe over the last couple of years so it’s easy to assume he’s indigenous to the region. However, the performer whose real name is Daniel Goldstein, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lane 8 debuted in 2012 with the track, “Don’t Want You Back” and his subsequent remixes and original songs garnered higher profile gigs. In the midst of the burgeoning recognition, Goldstein moved to Germany where his reputation for his energetic live shows and original beats helped sell out venues across Europe. Lane 8 performed a highly anticipated set at Coachella 2015 and released his debut album, Rise, over the summer in July.

B-Sides On-Air caught up with Lane 8 during his sold out show at The Independent in San Francisco. Speaking with B-Sides host, Pete Mar, Lane 8 reflected upon his sold-out homecoming after releasing his debut, playing Coachella, living in Germany and more.
