rufusLive electronic band, RÜFÜS DU SOL has had a busy year in 2015, one that started with the release of their latest album, Atlas(released in late 2014) and numerous tour dates including SXSW 2015. The album garnered critical recognition and won an AIR(AUSTRALIAN INDEPENDENT RECORD) award for Best Independent Dance, Electronica Album in 2014. Their live shows have impressed audiences worldwide with their fusion of live and club elements of dance music, as the band toured the world, including a series of headlining North American tours in 2014 and a recent festival run over the summer of 2015. Comprised of keyboardist Jon George, vocalist/guitarist Tyrone Lindqvist and drummer James Hunt, RÜFÜS DU SOL continue to grow their fan base and win over the critics. Jon George stated, “we started the band just wanting to be able to play shows to our friends at parties. So to now be able to announce a tour that takes us all around Australia and to the other side of the Pacific to some of the most amazing cities in North America is amazing. Playing new music to crowds who want to dance is the best thing you can do. You know instantly what works. So we’re back in the studio refining a few songs before we go out and play them during this tour”.
