2015 has been a great year for North London band, Wolf Alice. The four-piece released their debut album, My Love Is Cool in June and have been touring for the majority of the year in support of the material. Kicking off the year with a successful showcase at SXSW, their fan base grew throughout the year as the track, “Bros” got major radio airplay alongside “Moaning Lisa Smile”. My Love Is Cool was lauded by music critics and garnered the band a coveted nomination for the U.K.’s Mercury Prize for Album of the Year. With the recognition by the Mercury Prize voting committee and the growing fan base from their inclusion in numerous international festivals, Wolf Alice is clearly one of the breakout bands of the year.
B-Sides On-Air spoke with lead singer/guitarist Ellie Rowsell and bassist Theo Ellis about their thoughts on the band’s success, holiday plans and played a silly game of “Wolf or Dog”.
