If you are looking for something fresh that your friends haven’t heard of, here’s your gem- Destination. Destination is the debut EP by DJ, producer, drummer Chace, a 17 year-old from China, but you’d never know of his young age by listening or watching him perform. Chace grew up in a musical environment with his touring musician father and started learning how to drum at 2 years old. He took drumming and audio engineering courses in the Shanghai Conservatory of Music for 7 years and worked on acapella covers. Exposure to the music of Tiesto and Swedish House Mafia inspired CHACE to make his foray into electronic music and has since shared the stage with acts like Skrillex, Stooki Sound, Grandtheft, Hucci, Lex Luger and Cashmere Cat among others. Destination has a track with Yellow Claw and under his record label, Bargon Family.
The EP consists of four tracks and is 14 minutes long which is great if you need a quick and satisfying play. It has a mixed vibe of newer Calvin Harris and Zedd with Tiesto’s old school style. Chace should be ON-RADAR as he’s been making waves in Europe with North America surely to follow.
It’s hard to pick a standout from only four tracks, however, “Stranger” is the track that gained substantial attention and is considered his best by popularity. A track that deserves an honorable mention is “Next to Me,” which has a unique feel and would be excellent for dancing.
Already a huge success in China, Chace is making his way throughout the globe, having recently performed at Tomorrowland , Destination is worth checking out and is available on multiple streaming sites. You should listen to it out while going for a quick run or jog. Anything but sitting still because you’ll want to dance.
