VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Quinn XCII Talks ‘The Story of Us’, Grosse Pointe Upbringing

Vocalist and songwriter, Quinn XCII has been on a steady ride since making a strong impression with EP, Change of Scenery in 2015 and subsequently the track “Kings of Summer” that was released in 2016. Having released his debut album, The Story Of Us, in late 2017, the Grosse Pointe, MI native continues to garner acclaim and a loyal yet growing fanbase, who were introduced to him from the track “Straightjacket”. His collaboration with Chelsea Cutler, “Flare Guns” is a standout of the album as Quinn XCII describes as a song that “concentrates on the constant struggle someone has with the temptation of contacting someone they know they shouldn’t.” What started out as a hobby during high school has turned into a burgeoning career for Quinn XCII, who honed his skills while attending Michigan State University, releasing music that he would work on with long-time friend Ayokay. Having played numerous shows across the U.S. and festivals steadily over the years that have included the Firefly Music Festival, Mamby On The Beach and Breakaway Music Festival, Quinn XCII’s live shows showcase his ability to blur the lines between electronic pop, hip-hop and soul.

Quinn XCII will be playing high profile festivals in 2018, including Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Governor’s Ball, Firefly and Osheaga along with his international dates.
