Since the release of the track, “Best Friend”, Sofi Tukker have been growing in popularity and recognition. The track charted in numerous categories across the globe and helped them garner a Grammy nomination. The duo comprised of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern recently released their debut album, Treehouse, and just released the track “Batshit”, which was adapted from a love poem by Chacal for “The Dare” “Batshit” draws from South American folk music and features Tucker’s debut as the lead vocalist. Hawley-Weld stated- “We are introducing him as exactly what he is: Batshit Crazy. It’s as ridiculous and colorful as he is and we love it.” Currently on tour in support of the debut, the 10-track album includes previously released singles “Energia” and “Fuck They” and presents SOFI TUKKER fully formed after a Grammy nomination and countless months on the road touring that included numerous festival dates such as SXSW, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Panorama, Osheaga and others.
