PHOTO REVIEW: Gramatik – Oakland, CA 11/01/2019

Denis Jasarević, also known as Gramatik has just released his brand new album, RE:COIL Pt. II, the artist’s first album release in two years. Fans have been eager for the compilation that features 8 new and original tracks, featuring an all-star collab lineup with Big Gigantic, Anomalie, Waka Flocka Flame, ProbCause, Kotek, Beat Fatigue, Defunk, Luxas, and Chrishira Perrier. Gramatik just kicked off his fall tour in support of the new album and his show at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA was one big dance party. Performing with his guitarist, Andrew Block, Gramatik had an exciting backdrop of visuals that had the crowd, many of whom were decked out in all kinds of costumes from illuminated Christmas trees to outfits to acknowledge Dia De Los Muertos. Midway through the set, Gramatik brought out Balkan Bump for a few songs to play trumpet, which was outlined in illumination that gave a special cool vibe. With a talent to combine funk, hip-hop, bass and soul, Gramatik had brought a joyful fun vibe that had the audience dancing and cheering until the end of the night.
