VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Marc E. Bassy On Solo Career: “Feels Like a Rock-n-Roll Circus With Family

Marc E. Bassy dropped the deluxe version of ‘PMD’, his second full-length studio album that was released past fall via his own record label, New Gold Medal. ‘PMD Deluxe’ contains four bonus tracks including a collaboration with Tory Lanez “Right Now”, “Deal With It”, and two tracks “Here With U” and “Free Will (Glory)”, which Bassy describes as deeply personal. The Oakland native, who now lives in Los Angeles, made waves with his critically acclaimed 2016 debut EP ‘Groovy People’. Among a tracklisting of notable songs such as “Morning” and “Dirty Water,” it vaulted “You & Me” [feat. G-Eazy] onto the Billboard Hot 100 as the track generated millions of streams and achieved a platinum certification from the RIAA within two years. His debut, ‘Gossip Columns’, which featured “Plot Twist” featuring Kyle, garnered critical acclaim and gave Bassy the opportunity to co-headline the Bebe & Bassy Tour alongside Bebe Rexha, as well as his own ‘Gossip Columns Tour’, that sold out numerous venues throughout North America. The journey has been one of steady growth for Bassy, who started out in the band 2AM before breaking out on his own, working his way up from songwriter alongside artists including Kehlani, YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Charlie Puth and Hailee Steinfield.
