VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Georgia Talks ‘Seeking Thrills’ Success, Damon Albarn Friendship

The second studio album, ‘Seeking Thrills’ by Georgia was released at the start of 2020 fresh off a successful 2019 that saw numerous singles from the LP garner millions of streams and radio airplay. Born Georgia Barnes, the Londoner was literally born into music as her father is Neil Barnes of the highly influential 90s electronic act Leftfield. That background and her genuine passion for dance music provided an organic exploration into the Chicago House and Detroit techno from the early 80s for inspiration. The singles “Started Out” and “About Work The Dancefloor”, which are featured on the album, were released early in 2019, getting an immediate spotlight and heavy airplay on BBC Radio and much critical acclaim. The new music enabled Georgia to perform numerous packed shows across Europe and a performing slot at Glastonbury 2019.

B-Sides host Pete Mar spoke with Georgia about taking in the success throughout the year, working with Damon Albarn of The Gorillaz for the single “Aries” and more. Check out the interview:
