Toronto-born artist LØLØ makes pop music that isn’t dumbed down. Her new single “lonely & pathetic” leans into a 2000s pop-rock aesthetic that is reminiscent of Avril Lavigne and other alt pop princesses of the time. This track features a wonderfully indulgent hook that simply makes it fun to listen to.

4. Blu DeTiger – “Vintage”
Blu DeTiger first came into the mainstream spotlight with her song “Figure it Out” which blew up on TikTok in 2020. But with every track she’s put out, she reveals that she is more than that initial fame, and “Vintage” only continues that trend. Her bass playing is beyond funky, adding a unique layer to the pop landscape of the song, and her lyrics comparing her new beau to a fashion accessory feels fun without being apathetic.
