With so much new music coming out every week, it can be hard to know what to listen to first. Every week, we highlight some of our favorite tracks to kick off your weekend. 1. Peach Tree Rascals – “OOZ”
San Jose music collective Peach Tree Rascals were first thrust into the spotlight when their song “Mariposa” went viral on TikTok. Since then, the band has received critical acclaim from multiple media publications. Their fusion of funk, jazz, and indie pop is crisp and energizing, making this track a welcome addition to our playlist!

2. Biig Piig – “Cuenta Lo”
Irish singer and rapper Biig Piig, aka Jessica Smyth, began uploading music to Soundcloud in 2016. The digital media platform COLORS saw her track “Vice City” and invited her to play on their show. That video reached over 7 million views, and jumpstarted her career. Her latest single “Cuenta Lo” is an atmospheric triumph, with heavy bass and her sultry Spanish vocals reminiscent of artists like Billie Eillish and Rosalia.

3. Greta Van Fleet – “Heat Above”
Greta Van Fleet has become a big name in rock over the past four years. Their debut LP was at the top of the Billboard Rock Album charts merely one week after its release, and they’re popularity has only grown since. They are known for their signature classic rock sound, influenced by rock legends like Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. That influence remains “Heat Above”, which is an epic rock ballad. The addition of an organ makes it feel like Greta Van Fleet is truly taking us to church on this track

4. Tayo Sound – “Runaway”
“Runaway” is the final track on 18 year old Tayo Sound’s highly anticipated EP by the same name. The song is about two people clinging to a relationship that isn’t serving either of them anymore. The song is catchy, melodic, and full of detailed instrumentation, making it definitely worth a listen.

5. Ruel – “too many feelings”
18 year old Ruel has already demonstrated his grasp on what makes a good song. In 2018, he won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the ARIA awards for his single “Dazed & Confused”. We’ve loved watching his career blossom with his sound, and his new track “too many feelings” is only evidence of his growth. The song features simple, vibey production and is sure to match your energy this weekend.

6. UPSAHL – “STOP!”
Arizona native singer songwriter UPSAHL is a hit machine. Her song “Drugs” was a viral sensation last year, giving her a new wave of listeners anticipating every release. “STOP!” instantly makes you want to move, and its empowering, racy lyrics are sure to make this one an anthem.

7. Surf Mesa – “Carried Away” ft. Madison Beer
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Seattle raised electronic artist Surf Mesa and influencer-turned-popstar Madison Beer have released their song “Carried Away”. Beer’s clean vocal track is sweet and fresh on its own, but really comes to life with the layered beat.

8. Ashe – “The Same”
When Ashe’s 2019 single “Moral of the Story” was featured on the To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You soundtrack, listeners around the world fell in love with her delicate voice and confessional songwriting. She has collaborated with the likes of Niall Horan, Quinn XCII, and FINNEAS, and is truly becoming a force to reckon with. Her new song “The Same” shows off her sharp songwriting with heartbreaking lyrics about the loss of a love.

9. Kings of Leon – “Echoing”
Rock superstars Kings of Leon have been building excitement around their upcoming album ‘When You See Yourself” for the past 2 months, releasing ‘The Bandit’ and ‘100,000 People’ in January. This new track has a unique sound, as the band has taken to experimenting with vintage instruments/synths.

10. COIN – “Sagittarius Superstar” ft. Faye Webster
COIN and Faye Webster have made some of the most amazing indie music over the past 5 years, and their collaboration on this track is electric! The instrumentation is warm and uplifting, with vocals from Webster that can only be described as dazzling.
