VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Charlotte Sands at Austin City Limits 2022

After going viral with her song “Dress” in 2020, Charlotte Sands has seen her profile steadily grow and lucrative opportunities being offered. The Nashville-based singer/songwriter has opened for My Chemical Romance as part of their UK reunion tour this past spring, and more recently, has been on her first headlining tour. Originally from Hopkinton, MA, Sands grew up around music as her father was in bands and picked up the guitar and making music at 14 years old. The likes of P!nk, Paramore, Bonnie Raitt and other women in folk music made a huge impression on her. During the pandemic, Sands released multiple singles that would help her build a growing fanbase, features with The Maine and Sleeping with Sirens and enable her the opportunity to open for many artists prior to embarking on her own headline tour. Sands recently signed with Vydia and plans to release more new music soon.

Charlotte Sands spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about performing at Austin City Limits 2022, the viral success she experienced with the song ‘ Dress’, the influence of P!nk and Hayley Williams of Paramore, upcoming plans and more.
