Pop punk legends Simple Plan brought their Bigger Than You Think Tour to a sold-out crowd at MGM Music Hall at Fenway, proving once again why they’ve remained icons for 25 years.
The night kicked off with high-energy sets from LOLO, 3OH!3, and Bowling for Soup, each raising the bar for what was to come. Bowling for Soup closed their set with fan-favorite 1985, leaving the venue buzzing with anticipation.
When Simple Plan finally took the stage, frontman Pierre Bouvier had the crowd instantly jumping and dancing to the opening track I’d Do Anything. Confetti and streamers rained down during the second song, Nothing Changes, amplifying the already electric atmosphere. Pierre even shouted out Boston’s “insane energy,” reminding everyone why the city has a reputation for always showing up strong.
The setlist was a nostalgic journey through the band’s career, from their 2002 debut No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls and 2004’s Still Not Getting Any to their unforgettable contribution to pop culture, What’s New, Scooby-Doo?.
They closed the night with I’m Just a Kid and Perfect — two tracks that hit differently for every generation in the room. Longtime fans relived their youth while newer listeners embraced the anthems for the first time.
It was a night of pure pop punk celebration, marking a milestone in Simple Plan’s legacy and a powerful reminder of just how timeless their music continues to be.
