VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Wasia Project Interview at Outside Lands 2025

The last year and a half has been quite an introduction to Wasia Project. The UK duo released their debut EP ‘Isotope’ last year to much anticipation after breaking out with their song “ur so pretty” that was featured in Netlflix’s hit series “Heartstopper”. They also toured extensively, opening for Laufey throughout North America as well as touring throughout the states, even selling out their first headline shows in New York City and Los Angeles. Consisting of siblings William G. Hardy and Olivia Hardy, Wasia Project use their mixed British-Asian heritage as inspiration for lyrical content, while their classical training has allowed them to meld their classical intellect, and spiky disco melds with freewheeling jazz.

Wasia Project has been on the festival circuit this year, having played Governor’s Ball and Lollaplooza ahead of this year’s Outside Lands in San Francisco. B-Sides host Pete Mar caught up with the duo to chat about their steady rise, playing festivals, upcoming new music and more.
