It’s been a long journey for X Ambassadors but they’re finally getting recognition with the recent success of the song “Renegades”. The band from Ithaca, NY consist of brothers, Sam and Casey Harris and longtime friends, Noah Feldshuh and Adam Levin. The band started out simply as Ambassadors when they moved to New York City but changed it to X Ambassadors due to conflicts with other bands with a similar name. The four-man band got a lucky break when front man of Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds heard the band’s song while touring and helped get them signed to Interscope.
With their debut album, VHS, having been just released, X Ambassadors are ready to take their career to the next level. Last year’s breakthrough, “Jungle”, which the band collaborated with Jamie N Commons, was just one aspect to the band’s sound. “Renegades”, the lead single from VHS has been a huge radio hit for X Ambassadors and helped introduce the band to a wider audience. The band spoke with B-Sides host, Pete Mar about how things have changed, their debut album VHS and more.
