Motion City Soundtrack joins the Rock the Vote campaign this month to encourage young voters everywhere to register and participate in local and presidential elections. The band performed at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC alongside the Foo Fighters, Asher Roth, and others. The band just released their fifth studio album, Go, and were recently in Europe in support of the effort. The kick-off event for the second US leg will take place at The Rave II in Milwaukee on October 7th. The Rave II is a special benefit event, hosted by Motion City Soundtrack to benefit their long-time road merchandise manager and close friend, Beth Raebel, who was injured in a motorcycle accident earlier this year. The show’s proceeds will go directly towards her hospital bills.
