LISTEN: Three Tracks ON-REPEAT – Frenship & Emily Warren, Nothing But Thieves, Love Thy Brother

bsides-logo-cassette-repeatTunes tunes tunes! Our Tunes for Tuesday on our Instagram story this week has three tracks that have been ON-REPEAT. L.A.-based duo Friendship consists of James Sunderland and Brett Hite, who met working at a spandex store while individually were involved in separate music projects. They eventually started collaborating and producing their own original music, which led to the release of a number of singles and most recently, their debut EP Truce, that includes this week’s addiction, “Capsize” featuring Emily Warren. Nothing But Thieves has been gaining fans throughout their North American tour this year, which included dates at Lollapalooza, the upcoming Austin City Limits and Voodoo Festival in October. “Wake Up Call” is a strong representation of the band’s talent with its catchy melodies and vocal range of lead singer Conor Mason. Canadian duo Love Thy Brother are indeed brothers, represented by Conor and Liam Clarke. They self-describe their music as “a blend of sounds and styles from the past 50 years mixed together into one continuously evolving machine.” The track, “Love Me Better” features the talented Ariel Beesley, who also is a burgeoning model.
