VIDEO: INTERVIEW – A R I Z O N A Perform “Oceans Away”, Talk Origins

The band A R I Z O N A is a New Jersey-based trio comprised of Zach Hannah[vocals ,Nate Esquite[guitar] and David Labuguen [keys]. Although they’ve never spent much time in the state, the band states that the name was inspired by a joke Dave made about Nate’s “Arizona” hat in the studio. The origins of the band started in 2016 but all three had friends during their college days in Boston and were already been working in the industry as songwriters and producers. Hannah stated, “We had all been through the ringer with music. We got home and decided to do something with absolutely no bounds, requirements, goals, or marks. We just wanted to create for the sake of creating.” The approach turned out to be a boon for the band as they were signed to Atlantic Records and Artist Partner Group last summer and they would go on to release a string of singles that garner millions of streams, inspire remixes by other producers and numerous festival appearances that include Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, Firefly, Hangout Festival, and more.

A R I Z O N A took a moment to perform “Oceans Away” for B-Sides On-Air and also talk about their origins and more. Check out the performance and interview:
