VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Katelyn Tarver Talks Forthcoming EP ‘Kool Aid’, Role on ‘Ballers’

Fans of either television shows, Big Time Rush or the singing competition show, American Juniors will be quite familiar with Katelyn Tarver. In between acting gigs, the actress and singer has been active recently working on her music, as her song “You Don’t Know” garnered over 25 million views/streams online. The track comes from her 2017 EP, Tired Eyes and led her to continue working on new music, having recently released the bouncy track, “LY4L”. The song is featured on her forthcoming EP Kool Aid, due out on July 20, 2018 and features collaborations with artists such as Sir Sly, Wrabel and RAC. “I’ve written a lot of songs about the complicated, hard, scary parts of love. The challenges and fights and conflicts…but it’s harder to write about the good side of love. The exuberant, joyful, euphoric side,” explains Katelyn. “LY4L is a song that celebrates that. The seemingly simple, happy parts of being in love. The magic that comes with knowing someone’s got your back and you’ve got theirs and you feel like you can take on the world because of it.”

B-Sides caught up with Katelyn while in San Francisco to talk about the music on Kool Aid, her predictions on the television show Game of Thrones, her role on HBO’s Ballers this coming summer and more.
