VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Izzy Bizu at Outside Lands 2023

Izzy Bizu is currently on tour with ODESZA as one of feature singers for their collaboration on “Forgive Me” which has taken her across numerous festivals throughout the summer and huge venues throughout the U.S. Earlier this month, Bizu dropped her latest single “Flower Power,” a song Bizu describes as capturing the experiences of trying new things, “‘Flower Power’ is a song I wrote about trying things for the first time, feeling liberated, feeling the energy of others and trusting in them to take me on adventures I’d never forget,” shares Izzy on the new single. “Hope you enjoy this little piece of my story, big love.” The song follows up the songs “Dumb,” that deals with respecting one’s self-worth by walking away from relationships that aren’t worth the time, and “Walk Away” with Joe Devlin which addresses the importance of true friendship. The new music comes in time with the recent resurgence of her breakthrough hit “White Tiger” from her debut album’ A Moment of Madness’ that just catapulted past 100 million streams on Spotify alone after going viral on TikTok.

Izzy Bizu spoke with B-Sides host at Outside Lands 2023 in a wide-ranging interview about performing at the festival, skateboarding, tap-dancing, new music, touring with Odesza and more.
