Pierce the Veil is celebrating 18 years together with a massive world tour, joined by longtime friends and tourmates Sleeping with Sirens. The San Diego post-hardcore legends made their way to the suburbs of Massachusetts, playing a sold-out show at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA. Not only did they pack the 20,000-capacity amphitheater, but they also caused major backups on nearby roads and highways as fans flooded the area.
Excitement was high for week 3 of the tour, which featured alt-rockers Beach Weather kicking things off before punk mainstays Sleeping with Sirens took the stage. Traffic delays were so intense that fans began jumping out of their Ubers, Lyfts, and carpool rides to walk to the venue just to make it in on time. While some missed Sleeping with Sirens’ set, any disappointment quickly faded when Vicente Fernández’s “El Rey” blasted through the speakers, signaling that Pierce the Veil was about to take the stage.
A massive black curtain emblazoned with artwork from each of their five albums dropped to reveal the band—and the crowd erupted. The show kicked off with “Death of an Executioner,” a hard-hitting track from their latest album The Jaws of Life, and continued with a carefully curated setlist spanning their entire discography. From early heavy-hitters like “I’d Rather Die Than Be Famous” off their 2006 debut A Flair for the Dramatic, to fan-favorite ballads like “Kissing in Cars” from 2013’s Selfish Machines, the night was a full-on emotional rollercoaster.
The energy in the amphitheater was electric. Longtime fans were in awe, reflecting on the band’s growth—from sets at Warped Tour and small Boston venues like the 900-capacity Paradise Rock Club, to headlining a massive arena packed with screaming fans.
Naturally, the set closed with the viral anthem “King for a Day,” with Sleeping with Sirens’ Kellin Quinn joining the band onstage. The crowd sang every word, voices echoing far beyond the venue.
Though the night began with traffic chaos, once Pierce the Veil hit the stage, nothing else mattered. It was a celebration of nearly two decades of music, memories, and a band that continues to evolve while staying true to their roots. With many more shows ahead on this global tour—stretching through December—fans around the world still have the chance to witness this unforgettable chapter in PTV’s journey.
