VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Day We Ran Talk Performing at Outside Lands 2026, California Influence, Debut EP

Building off the exposure of their song “Foaming” that was featured on the hit Netflix series Outer Banks, Australian band Day We Ran just released their debut EP, ‘Naked At Your Door’ to much anticipation. The band has been making its way around the US for the very first time, having just played Outside Lands in San Francisco.

“Sometimes movement and coming of age involves leaving relationships and leaving your old town, the end of things and dealing with that, and how they’re also new beginnings.”

Day We Ran is a trio made up of three brothers, Michael, Matthew, and Daniel Lough, and known for blending classic guitar-driven anthems with soaring, three-part harmonies. Heavily inspired by 1970s Southern California surf culture and iconic vocal groups like Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Eagles, Day We Ran crafts a nostalgic, harmony-driven sound that’s infectious and memorable. On ‘Naked At Your Door’, the trio embraces the “California dream” aesthetic built around themes of exploration, the vibrant coming-of-age spirit and embracing new beginnings.

Day We Ran speak with B-Sides host Pete Mar about performing at Outside Lands 2026, their impressions of San Francisco, California influence and inspiration and more.
