Cold Showers formed in Los Angeles, CA in 2010 and although immediate impressions indicate a shoegaze atmospheric sound, the band’s debut exhibits hints of post-punk and melancholic dance pop. The band’s press kit describes Cold Showers as a band that “would fit comfortably within the dusty catalog of Factory Records, if only for an industrial subtlety in terms of electronics and acoustics.” The band started showing up On-Radar with their release of Highlands in 2011, especially amongst enthusiasts of The Jesus and Mary Chain and Neu!.
