B-Sides On-Air is broadcast on KBCW-44/cable 12 in the San Francisco Bay Area every Saturday night after SNL at 1a. We know it may be a time when either making out or passing out.  So, make sure to DVR us every week and check out some highlights from the show here! This past weekend, we were stoked to interview Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs talk about the band’s fantastic new album, “Lost In A Dream”.  Adam also indulged us by talking about his hometown NBA team the Philadelphia 76ers, living in Oakland and more.  “Cosmos” is the latest album Yellow Ostrich and it’s great.  We captured a performance of the track, “Shades” when they were in town.  Big Data is at the top spot on our top 10 countdown for the third week; check out the list and the vids on this page on the right side!

Adam Granduciel has performed under the name The War on Drugs since its inception.  After completing the tour in support of the band second studio album, “Slave Ambient” in 2012, Granduciel experienced many issues of depression, anxiety and paranoia.  He wrote many of the band’s songs during this time and what resulted is the recently released album, “Lost In A Dream”.  During our interview, Granduciel spoke about the process, his hometown basketball team- the Philadelphia 76ers and more.

Yellow Ostrich recently released the album “Cosmos” to much critical acclaim.  The album title is a nod to the classic television series, as singer/guitarist Alex Schaaf stated,  “Something I really like about the Carl Sagan way of thinking is how it’s a very unironic and sincere amazement at how the world works.”  Check out the performance of the track, “Shades” from Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco.
