There’s madness in March everywhere from the overload of college basketball to two huge music events in SXSW and Miami Music Week. While SXSW has grown the last few years, Miami Music Week(MMW) has become just as big with numerous events and shows from the small clubs and venues, culminating with Ultra Music Festival. One of the MMW standout performers, Grammy-nominated British electronic supergroup Above & Beyond will be performing at the architecturally distinguished RC Cola Plant on Thursday, March 17.
In addition to the English trance group, some of Anjunabeats’ and Anjunadeep’s biggest names Arty b2b Audien, Grum b2b Yotto and Moon Boots b2b Jody Wisternoff will also perform. Above & Beyond stated, “we thought it would be fun to pair some of our current favourite artists together and hopefully bring a different flavour to the night.”
After their special Florida appearance, Above & Beyond will hit the road in support of their highly anticipated album Acoustic II, due out this spring. The collection is the follow up to Acoustic that was released in 2014. This year’s tour will be accompanied by a 15-piece ensemble, similar to their setup during their first run of acoustic shows in 2013. Acoustic II will feature lush new arrangements of select tracks from We Are All We Need, as well as some of the most popular songs including “Alchemy” and “No One On Earth.”
