VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Bo Staloch Interview at Austin City Limits 2026

Rising singer-songwriter Bo Staloch is carving out a visceral, deeply vulnerable space in modern acoustic music. Hailing from Austin and now based in Nashville, the Capitol Records artist captured hearts with his breakthrough acoustic-driven showcases and emotionally resonant songwriting.

“We all sometimes feel that like the world is just like too heavy… and I think the main thing I’ve learned is just talking about it with the people you love.”

His upcoming project ‘Too Big, Too Big’ serves as a poignant snapshot of navigating the turbulence of early adulthood, written largely when he was twenty years old. Inspired by personal failings, heartbreak, and the overwhelming weight of growing up, the record is anchored by standout singles like “Hers,” which offers a hopeful look at the early, uncertain stages of romance and the courage to take a chance on love.

Growing up in Austin and attending the very festival he just performed at as a kid, Staloch is entirely self-taught on the guitar after first learning to play songs like Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” After gaining viral traction with his acoustic performances online, he moved to Nashville to refine his craft.

Bo Staloch spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about performing at Austin City Limits 2026, his upcoming EP ‘Too Big Too Big’ and more.
