Rising singer-songwriter Lauren Juzang made an impression on music fans with last year’s release of ‘EITHER WAY ??!?’ in combination with her opening slot touring with Jensen McRae. The vibrant 7-track project is the perfect blend of indie pop and folk that captures the emotional chaos of a breakup and choosing herself.
“Being vulnerable is so hard.”
Born and raised in Southern California, Juzang began her musical journey at age 12, inspired by pop-punk bands like 5 Seconds of Summer and All Time Low. She started writing songs in her early teens, formed a jazz-pop band called Deli Hours with friends, and released her first EP ‘HAHAHHAHA’ in 2021 while still in high school. Juzang continues to hone her sound that highlight her expressive vocals and storytelling prowess that embody an authenticity that her growing fanbase has sound relatable.
Lauren Juzang spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about overcoming fear of vulnerability in songwriting, finding her voice, touring with Jensen McRae and more.
