Since the start of the year, Momma has been touring non-stop with headline shows mixed in with festival appearances including Treefort Music Fest, Lollapalooza, All Things Go in Toronto, Capitol Hill Block Party, headlining the Norma Music Festival and most recently, Outside Lands in San Francisco.

The critically acclaimed album earned praise for its raw themes and larger-than-life song structures, expanding their audience to over 437,000 monthly Spotify listeners. This steady growth has been largely driven by standout hit tracks like “I Want You (Fever)” and “Ohio All The Time,” as well as older favorites like “Speeding 72,” pushing their total catalog past 50 million streams. Formed in 2015 by Southern California natives, Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten, who started the band as a passion project while still in high school and immediately garnered attention with their debut album, Household Name that was released in 2022. The band is still on tour and will join British rock band Basement in the fall before taking a break and focusing on their next project, which they’ve already started mapping out and described as darker during our chat at Outside Lands. “We’re describing it as a departure from the breezy windows down summer soundtrack and more… I think it’s going to be a little darker which we’re really excited for,” they shared.
