VIDEO: INTERVIEW – Bad Nerves Frontman Bobby Nerves Talks Performing at Outside Lands 2026, Resurgence of Rock Music

English punk rock band Bad Nerves has steadily become a fan favorite over the years, notably due to the band’s wild performances led by frontman Bobby Nerves. The quintet is currently riding a huge wave of momentum this year with a heavy tour schedule filled with headlining performance as well as festival appearances across North America and Europe.

“I think after the whole COVID thing and everyone being trapped indoors… people like faster, more adrenaline-fueled music. I think people longed for that more.”

Blending power pop melodies with blistering speeds, Bad Nerves carved out a distinct space for themselves, drawing acclaim with their previous releases ‘Dreaming’, ‘Baby Drummer’, & ‘Can’t Be Mine’. Their approach and sound eventually caught the attention of the likes of Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, propelling them from small London club gigs to major festival stages. They’ve toured with Royal Blood and The Darkness, and have drawn comparisons to Supergrass, the Ramones and Jay Reatard. As they’re prepping for the release of a new project early next year, the band continues to tour across the globe.

Bad Nerves spoke with B-Sides host Pete Mar about the album’s thematic depth, their unique recording process, and the evolution of their sound, and more.
