London-based dream pop trio Night Tapes is currently riding high on the momentum of their worldwide arena tour with The Neighbourhood and their debut album, ‘portals//polarities’. The LP explores introverted and extroverted spaces and pushes sonic boundaries while retaining their signature ethereal charm.

“This is absolutely crazy, this is what I was dreaming of doing when I was a kid. – Night Tapes on their growing audiences”

Originally formed as a series of late-night jam sessions among housemates, Night Tapes consists of Iiris Vesik, Max Doohan, and Sam Richards. The band was in the midst of touring while being inspired to create music. Much of the music on ‘portals//polarities’ was written and recorded in hotels and Airbnbs between gigs, relying entirely on the live gear and pedals they were traveling with. Wildlife and birdsong was captured and recorded while the band stayed in the mountains following the Corona Capital festival in Mexico, field recordings of an LAPD helicopter was recorded in Los Angeles for “Leave It All Behind,” and ambient swamp sounds were captured while they were in Estonia. The band is at the tail-end of touring and have already been recording demos and crafting new music for their next project./p>
