ON RADAR: TV Ghost

TV-Ghost-DisconnectIndiana indie rock band TV Ghost, originally came together in 2006. With their many bandmate changes throughout the years the band currently consists of Tim Gick (vocalist/guitarist), Jimmy Frezza (vocalist/guitarist), Brahne Hoeft (keyboardist), Tristan Ivas (bassist), and Jackson VanHorn (drummer). They released their 7″ Atomic Rain in 2007 and their self-titled EP in 2008. In 2008 the band also signed to record label In the Red, and released their debut full length album Cold Fish in 2009. Their second album Mass Dream was produced in 2010, and the band followed the album with a US and European tour. Their recent album Disconnect, released in September of 2013 and features the song “Five Colors Blind.” The song represents the band’s new wave 1980s vibe, this is heard with the song’s lingering guitar riffs and echoing aggressive vocals. TV Ghost is inspired by the sounds of such artists like The Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen, combined with the ideas of eerie and supernatural noise. Disconnect is currently available for streaming on iTunes and Spotify.
