CONCERT REVIEW: Little Image Returns to Home With a Packed, High-Energy Show in Dallas 6/6/2026

Dallas’ very own alternative band little image returned home for a sold out show at the Kessler Theater on June 6, 2026. It’s been nearly three years since the trio last set foot on a Dallas stage and they made sure to give the crowd everything they had.

Under green lights and haze, the set kicked off with “Mr. Cynical” and “NOVOCAINE” from the band’s latest album, KILL THE GHOST. Released earlier this year, the album cemented little image as an undeniable alternative force full of brilliant production. In spite of the packed venue, little image’s stage presence never wavered as frontman Jack Simmons and bassist Brandon Walters thrashed around on stage.

Immersed in a sea of fans, the band always kept the crowd engaged even those upstairs in the Kessler’s balcony. The band moved into the crowd for a makeshift B-Stage performance of “OUT OF MY MIND” and “REAL ESTATE”. For this brief interlude, both Brandon and drummer Troy Bruner switched to synths. Between songs, Jack expressed his and the band’s gratitude for Dallas always being so welcoming and loving even when the band hasn’t been home in years. The emotional moment was intensified by a young girl in the crowd with a poster asking for the band’s signature.

As the show neared its close, the band played an all-time fan favorite, “Bottles,” from their 2017 album Musings. The crowd softly sang along to the emotional lyrics and held onto their energy through the end of the setlist. The band closed with two adrenaline pumping singles from their recent album, “THE REAPER” and “KILL THE GHOST.” Jack, Brandon, and Troy left the stage to deafening cheers and applause from their hometown fans.

Houston based musician Stone opened the show with his folk, alternative tunes. He performed his latest single, “wrong for it”, for the first time. His set ended with a definite crowd pleaser cover of “Robbers” by The 1975.

The aptly named Nashville based garage band, Two Car Garage (Caleb and Will Chapman of Colony House), followed Stone’s set as the second opener of the night. The brothers alongside touring guitarist, Andrew Smith, amped up the crowd with high energy songs such as “Zippo” and “Skeleton”.
