Rising alternative-pop artist King Mala aka Areli Castro explores dark, masculine, and edgy elements in her work. Her debut album titled And You Who Drowned in the Grief of a Golden Thing (2025), released a month ago under Handwritten Records, is full of gothic hymns and viral hits such as “DEVOTION” and “ODE TO A BLACK HOLE”.
