An actual band before the Amazon Prime series, The Runarounds have a growing and passionate fanbase on the merits of their music first and foremost. The five-piece seamlessly bridged reality and fiction with the TV show blending the fictional storyline of the band’s beginnings with their strong musicianship.

The group’s real-life musical chemistry and friendships inspired their own Prime Video series that premiered late last year. Some of the band members had to take acting classes but were naturals on-screen and were right at home during the moments of their musical performances. While guitarist Axel Ellis doubles up as a member of his own outfit, Ax and the Hatchetmen, the other members, William Lipton, Zendé Murdock, Jesse Golliher and Jeremy Yun all had some experience in the acting world, notably Lipton, who was in ‘General Hospital’ as a child.
Musically, the band has been selling out shows with their grassroots “minivan tour,” across the country. Coinciding with the release of their new single “Bleachers”, The Runarounds have much to celebrate with their debut performance at Bonnaroo 2026.
